Frequently Asked Questions

Here are some answers to some questions that are most often asked by our customers.

Q. How do I use my Dining Rewards Card, and do I need to register the card?

A. There is no need to register your card and it is ready to use as soon as you receive your book. The Dining Rewards Card is used only for Fine Dining section of the book. In the Table of Contents for Section A you will see a Card # for each merchant. These numbers correspond to the numbered boxes on the reverse side of the card. Present your card to your server and you will receive $10 off of your purchase of $40 or more. The card can be used once per merchant.

Q. I just purchased a 2017 Edition book, do I need to wait until January 1st, 2017 before I can use it?

A. No, you may begin using your book immediately. All editions are valid as soon as you receive it, and expire at the end of the editions year. 2017 Editions expire December 30th, 2017, 2016 Editions expire December 30th, 2016.

Q. I want to use the Taste Book as our fundraiser, is my group eligible? How can we get started?

A. Great! All groups and organizations are eligible to use our fundraising program. Typical groups include schools, non-profit organizations, community organizations, fire and police departments, hospitals, sports teams, religious organizations and many more. Call our office at 860.236.0881 or email info@thetastebook.com to get started. We can have your campaign up and running quickly and easily.

Q. Where can I see a list of participating merchants in your book?

A. Click HERE  and click “View Participating Merchants” for the edition of your choice.

Q. I purchased a book from one of your offers on a daily deal site, but I never received my book. Why haven’t I received my book and when can I expect to receive it?

A. When you purchase a book through a daily deal site (e.g. SaveNowCT) you are purchasing a voucher which then must be redeemed in order to receive your book. You may redeem your voucher by either filling out our form on our website, by phone, or in person at our office. You must include your name, address and voucher number / code to successfully redeem your voucher. After your voucher has been redeemed, you should receive it within 3-5 business days. If you still have not received your book(s), please call us at 860.236.0881.

Q. A fundraising group near me is selling your books, but they only have one edition available. Can I purchase one of the other editions from them?

A. Yes! Indicate on the order form if you would like one of the other editions and their group representative will be able to acquire one for you. If you do not have an order form, contact the leader of the group and request any of the editions. The books will be made available for you.

Q. I lost my Dining Rewards Card! Help!

Q. I’m a merchant looking to provide an offer in your book. How can we get in the next edition?

A. Please email info@thetastebook.com. There is no cost to have your coupon printed in our book!

A. Check out our Taste Book Facebook! Like our page and leave a comment. Reviews are greatly appreciated. From time to time we will hold giveaways and contests. We will also feature merchants in our book. We will also announce daily deals on our Facebook page.
